Wilder made the stallion available for stud services for two years. In 1925, Governor of Orleans was leased to Harold Bailey of Cassville, Missouri; in 1927 to A.B. Summers of West Plains, Missouri; and in 1928 to Len Raser in Jetmore, Kansas.
